Knights Armament BulletFlight is a military-grade ballistic computer that provides quick solutions in the field. BulletFlight does not output information in table format but rather dynamically gives you the solution you need now to make that shot. Current weather conditions including temperature, pressure, humidity, wind speed, and wind direction can be input, as well as angles to the target as measured by the built-in accelerometer. The app then provides highly detailed solutions out to 3000 meters. Your weapon profile includes your scope MOA/mRad per click, and hence when you provide a range to the target, the app will simply show how many clicks you need to change the scope by for that range and wind speed.

Includes over 1400 projectiles including carefully-measured G7 BC database for VLD bullets. BulletFlights G7 data is courtesy of Bryan Litz and I recommend his book: http://www.appliedballisticsllc.com/index_files/Book.htm

Up to five ballistic coefficients with corresponding velocity thresholds may be used for each profile to enhance accuracy, or use a single G1, G7, or G8 value.

Several built-in profiles for the Armys M110 and M110C semi-automatic precision rifle, the Armys new XM2010 sniper rifle, the 14.5 inch SR16 rifle, The 50 BMG M107, .308 M40A3, .308 M24, and the 6.5mm KAC PDW allow you to get started quickly. You may alter these profiles, or add new ones.

This app was in combat use by military snipers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Features:
Built-in profiles for common military rifles, but easily add more custom profiles.
Accurate bullet database with most major brands.
3000 meters range (2000 using simple screen).
Fast and accurate ballistic computation using G1, G7, or G8 ballistic coefficients.
Easy to use interface yet powerful and full featured. All relevant data on screen all at once.
User interface designed to minimize chance of input errors.
"Simple Screen" with distance wheel, but also "Full" screen where any exact range may be used.
Output in inches, cm, MOA, Mils, and scope clicks.
Option for Metric units. In most cases imperial and metric are visible at the same time.
Direct input for scopes with either MOA or mRad metric input (such as Schmidt & Bender).
Calculates 360 degree wind drift using either degree of OClock format input.
Wind speed may be specified in either miles-per-hour or meters-per-second.
Advanced atmospheric model.
Uses GPS to locate nearest weather station and then automatically gets weather data and altitude for ballistic computation.
Sight-in weather may be logged and stored for automatic normalization to standard conditions. So you may sight in at any temperature or altitude and later be accurate at any other temperature or altitude.
Built-in accelerometer will detect angle for improved accuracy.
Computes actual BCs from collected data. Some users will do this for each log of ammo before a mission.
Built-in mil-dot range calculator.
Calculates bullet twist / stability with a highly-accurate formula.
Computes bullet spin drift.
Built-in help screen.

Pros and cons of Bullet Flight M app for iPhone and iPad

Bullet Flight M app good for

My name is francois LANTERNE Iam a french soldier sniper. Sorry i not speak english and write bad so very bad. Would you like most accecibility faster and inclused - the french weapon. - PGM hecate 2 weight 12,7mm 50BMG with optical SCROM J10 one clic = 1cm a 100m - FRF2 7,62mm and SCROM J8
Can hou translate your app in french and add the remington 700 and the french army weapon. Thanks. Very good app.
Is that possible to include a visual reticle IOT estimate range and The holdover? Nevertheless, this program is accurate and easy Congrats!!!
Reaching out farther is easier than ever. Keep any updates coming for this program. Worth it, if your serious, really serious. One point: lets have the option to turn off the weather updater in options. you know why, thanks.
Wicked! Apple and weapons, what an awesome combination. The last thing I wanted to buy was another stupid little gadget that only had one purpose. I was trilled to find out there was ballistic software for my iphone. The program works well, and has an interface that will blow the doors off the PC variations. With my hardware it has has proven its self true out to 850 yards. With the proper data input, I trust it one hundred percent. The projectile database is quite extensive as well. Very impressed!
This is the most accurate ballistics app I have tried so far. I have used it with extreme accuracy to obtain first round hits to 1400 yards (as far as my range goes out to) with 5 different rifles and several different loads. I have also use it to calculate drop and obtain a 4" group with a 12gauge slug gun at 300 yards, and to dial and drop a monster whitetail with same slug at 187 yards. Absolutely an amazing app well worth the money spent!

Some bad moments

This program is not as accurate as advertised. Maybe on military type firearm. No luck for me yet!
Not nearly enough factory or custom loads to choose from. No input of hand loads allowed. Seriously I want my money back, curiosity comparing this app to "Shooter" and "Mil-Dot Ballistics" really screwed me over.
Im was a little bit disappointed at first. I have downloaded the program, but it was different from screenshots showed on the iTunes store. "Wind angle" input field not present, so the program was quite unusable for the purpose of calculating the bullect impact. Also the "Mrad Display" was missed in my version 1.0. It was a pity. Now, with version 1.1 (free upgrade), its all ok, and the program its fully functional. Well done
If this thing come loaded with over 3000 projectiles, can someone please tell me where the heck to find it in the app. Would love to have my $30 back.
Works great, other than 1 thing after paying $30.00 for an app you would think they would take the time to update it. App hasnt been updated in almost 3 years.
The weather and location updates havent worked for months. When it did work, it did not always pull complete data (altitude, location, pressure, wind, etc.). I have mrad and MOA scopes. It doesnt allow setting up each weapons system to account for this. Instead one must go to a different screen and change the unit of radial measure for all weapons systems. The "get angle" option is user friendly under some conditions. I would prefer an option to type in the +- height of the target compared to the muzzle. The projectile (ballistics) database needs more functionality. A more direct transfer from the data base would be a benefit. Allowing multiple transfers and more projectiles would also be a nice feature. The appearance is juvenile at best and often one of first things mentioned by friends when showing them the App at the range. Please take advantage of the HD Retina screen on the next update. It does provide accurate adjustments (scope dope); provided that the shooter inputs accurate data. It has put me on target at every attempted distance with every weapons system under many different conditions. One does have to appreciate the physics calculations going on in the background. With a few simple updates, this App would be a 10 out of 10.
